This policy explains how Scallor uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser localStorage) on this website, the categories they fall into, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which describes how we handle personal information more broadly.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. "Similar technologies" include browser storage like localStorage, which works much the same way. We use both terms interchangeably as "cookies" in this policy. They let the site remember things, such as the cookie choice you’ve made, and, only with your permission, help us understand how the site is used.
2. The categories we use
We group everything into three categories, matching the controls in our cookie banner. Necessary cookies are always on; the rest are off until you opt in.
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function: security, basic routing, and remembering your cookie and accessibility choices. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics (opt-in): aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how the site is used so we can improve content and performance. We do not build a personal profile.
- Marketing (opt-in): used to measure how outbound campaigns perform. Off by default.
3. The cookies we use
Strictly necessary storage is always set. When you opt in to Analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity load and set the analytics cookies listed below. Marketing entries are created only if you turn that category on.

4. Managing your choices
You chose your preferences when you first visited. You can change them at any time using the control (also in the site footer). Turning a category off withdraws your consent for it going forward.
You can also control cookies through your browser. Most let you block or delete them. Because some of what we store is strictly necessary, blocking it may stop parts of the site from working as expected.
5. Third-party cookies
When you opt in to Analytics, we load two third-party providers that set first- and third-party cookies:
- Google Analytics — aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how the site is used. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session replay that show how visitors interact with the site. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
We do not use these for cross-site advertising or to build a personal profile of you. Neither loads until you opt in to Analytics, and turning Analytics off through stops them. If we add another provider in future, this policy will be updated to name it and the cookie banner will re-prompt for consent.
6. Do Not Track
Because non-essential cookies are off until you explicitly opt in, the site already honours the intent of "Do Not Track" by default. We do not load analytics or marketing technologies without your consent.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices evolve. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change. If we materially change the categories or add a new provider, we will re-prompt for consent through the cookie banner.
